I grew up in a foreign service family spending most of my childhood overseas in Nairobi and Tehran.
This provided me with the gift of global citizenship that I have unconsciously used all my life.
I majored in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland and moved to Maine in 1975 to live a "back to the land" lifestyle and embrace the "green movement" by building a recycled post and beam home on 30 acres.
In 1985 I became a real estate broker in Portland, Maine And in 2002 I launched my residential and investment real estate company. We recently merged with eXp Realty.
I enjoy meeting new real estate buyers & sellers from whatever country or walk of life. And introducing them to what the greater Portland, ME real estate community has to offer.
Making new real estate clients feel at home in their new Maine communities is a skill I learned from an early age as the child of US diplomat. Overseas we had to make new friends and interact socially on a continual basis.
It is very satisfying to repeat this with each real estate client.

In 2001, I joined the Board of the World Affairs Council of Maine, and from 2007-2009 I served as President of the Board.
In 2009 I also became part of the RHO class of the institute of Civic Leadership where I learned much about collaboration and negotition to achieve goals in group settings in a nine month leadership intensive.
